Holy Amarnath Yatra is a popular pilgrimage destination for Hindus - about 600,000 people visit during the 45-day season around the festival of Shravani Mela in July-August, coinciding with the Hindu holy month of Shravan. Pilgrims covers the distance of the 42 kms on the foot from the town of the pahalgam. The distance between them is near about 96 kms. This yatra takes four to five days to complete it.There are two alternate routes to the temple: the longer and more traditional path from Srinagar, and the shorter route from the town of Baltal. The pilgrims of the old ages take the horse for the whole journey they complete their yatra on the back of the horse back. The helicopter is the convenient way to complete the yatra. We also offer Helicotper yatra package from baltal and Pahalgam. The helicopter and the choppers can be taken from the Baltal or the Pahalgam also.
Holy Amarnath Cave (Temple) is situated 144 kms east to Srinagar - Jammu & Kashmir state. Lord Amarnath is in the form of an ice Silva-lingam. On the full moon day the lingam is approx 6 ft high.
